Gardening seems easy, but you’d be surprised how much care, time, and effort it takes.

From nutrients and sunlight to watering schedules and protection from pests and animals, plants need constant nurturing and support. It can be a lot to maintain, but when you get everything right, the fruits of your labor are all the better.

So, what does gardening have to do with Kris-Tech? Like an avid gardener, July’s Employee of the Month is an expert at nurturing and supporting the growth of every team member. Their dedication to improvement and commitment to excellence has not only borne fruit in terms of results but has set the entire company up for sustained growth.

We’re excited to announce Commercial Operations Leader Steve Pietrowski as July’s Employee of the Month!

Sowing the Seeds of Success

Tomatoes don’t grow the same as potatoes, and each requires unique attention.

But, like a seasoned gardener, Steve’s ability to connect with each Customer Service team member has unlocked their strengths, allowing them to flourish.

“Steve’s had a meaningful and lasting impact on the entire commercial team,” Director of Sales Aaron Reighard said. “His natural coaching and teaching mindset has allowed the Customer Service team to flourish in their refined post-order support roles. The entire CSS team has embraced their responsibilities and continue to grow within the team and personally.”

Of course, Steve’s dedication to learning, growing, and leveling up the CSS team extends beyond Kris-Tech’s four walls.

“Not content with limiting the growth of our team to our in-house training, Steve has also taken the initiative to set up a series of outside training for the CSS team designed to get us all that much closer to the World-Class level to which we all aspire,” Reighard explained. “This training will focus on how we communicate with our customers and each other.”

As a result, the Customer Success team is blooming!

Weeding Out Delays

Every garden has its fair share of weeds but removing them quickly and preventing them from returning helps every plant thrive.

In Kris-Tech’s case, Steve has been instrumental in keeping open lines of communication with the sales and operations teams. His ability to pivot and overcome obstacles while keeping the larger team informed allows the sales team to serve customers confidently.

Kris-Tech VP of Sales Kris McCarty hugs Employee of the Month winner Steve Pietrowski.“Steve’s cross-functional communications were vital during our facility move,” Reighard explained. “He has been providing timely updates to the sales team about orders at risk of missing their initial commitment dates. Steve’s clear communication style and get-it-done approach continue freeing up bandwidth for both myself and [VP of Sales] Kris [McCarty] and, more importantly, frees up the sales team to spend more time in their most impactful role… selling.”

But beyond being a great communicator, Steve is a tremendous teammate, encouraging mentor, and invaluable member of the Kris-Tech team.
