Kris-Tech Wire has earned recognition from two Central New York business organizations for its commitment to growth in the region, support for the local community, and fostering a better business climate in the Mohawk Valley.
The company has been named a Mohawk Valley GEAR (Growth, Energy, and Revitalize) award recipient for 2024 by the CNY Business Journal, accepting the honor alongside other prominent local companies, including DeIorio’s, Holland Farms Bakery & Deli, and Human Technologies.
According to the CNYBJ, Mohawk Valley GEAR recipients contribute to the region’s job market, real estate, and ongoing community improvement, while bolstering its social scene. Recipients will be honored during a May ceremony.
Kris-Tech also earned the distinction of being named a recipient of the Chamber Alliance of the Mohawk Valley’s William K. Guglielmo Legacy Award for 2024.
The award honors companies working to improve the Mohawk Valley business community, something the award’s namesake, Bill Guglielmo, did for 50 years with the Rome Area Chamber of Commerce. Guglielmo passed away in 2023, but his memory lives on through the legacy award.
Other companies included in the inaugural cohort are Chanatry’s Hometown Market, D’Arcangelo & Co., Fly Creek Cider Mill and Orchard, Herkimer County Industrial Development Agency, Joe Tahan’s Furniture & Mattresses, Mastrovito Hyundai, Vernon Downs Casino Hotel, White’s Farm Supply, and the YMCA of the Greater Tri-Valley.
Recipients will receive their awards during a ceremony at Hart’s Hill Inn in Whitesboro in late April.

The two awards are only the latest exciting news for Kris-Tech in 2024. Kris-Tech is nearly done with a massive expansion project doubling the company’s Rome, NY facility’s footprint, and will celebrate 40 years in business later this summer.
