As great as it would be to have every project move smoothly from start to finish, that isn’t always the case.

When questions arise, have someone in your corner always available to get the answers you need – even late on a Friday afternoon.

Final Inspection Concerns

Recently, the Kris-Tech team received a call from a contractor and distributor in Arizona at 4:45 CST on a Friday afternoon – just 15 minutes before closing for the weekend.

The contractor was preparing for a final inspection scheduled for Monday morning but had several non-wire-related questions about a tray cable strain relief connector.

Although Kris-Tech doesn’t make the connectors, National Sales Manager and Tray Cable Product Line Manager John Olguin wanted to see how he could help.

“No one wants to spend the weekend worrying about a 9 AM Monday morning inspection,” Olguin explained. “Even though it isn’t a product Kris-Tech sells, we wanted to get answers to the contractor and distributor as quickly as possible.”

Digging for Answers

Quickly jumping into action, Olguin gathered Kris-Tech’s Quality Control and Engineering teams to answer the contractor’s questions.

“This was a short-notice situation, but I knew I could count on Quality Team Leader Chuck Beckwith and Process Engineer David Albright to solve the dilemma,” Olguin explained. “They worked together to research the Underwriters Laboratories (UL) and National Electrical Code (NEC) guidebooks, referencing each code associated with the inspector’s questions.”

Once Beckwith and Albright had their answers, the pair collectively drafted a letter, noting each UL and NEC code necessary to pass the final inspection, signed off on it, and had it in the end user’s hands before the Monday morning inspection.

Going Above and Beyond

Thanks to the duo’s hard work and Olguin’s quick thinking and willingness to help, the inspector had all the information they needed for the end user to pass their final inspection with flying colors.

“Jumping in to help our partners and their customers is all part of building genuine, strong relationships,” Olguin explained. “Even if we don’t make or sell the product, we want to ensure every detail is addressed. We firmly believe we all win when we work together!”

When projects come down to the wire, having people like John, David, and Chuck around is a game-changer. Whether it’s a small question or a major project-altering issue, Kris-Tech’s engineers, quality team, and operations personnel come through when it matters most.

“I knew we could count on Kris-Tech in our time of need,” the distributor said. “It’s great having a team we can depend on for any question under the sun.”

Better Relationships with Kris-Tech

The wire and cable experts at Kris-Tech are dedicated problem-solvers committed to finding solutions to even the most complex problems – all with a smile and a genuine desire to help.

“We can rely on the team and each department to do their jobs well,” Olguin said. “This helps Kris-Tech facilitate positive outcomes for every customer.”
