Our standard Halar®/HMWPE wire is stranded copper conductor insulated with Polyethylene Chlorotrifluoroethylene (ECTFE) commonly known as Halar®, jacketed in a black sunlight resistant High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (HMWPE). This product is manufactured according to Underwriters Laboratory (UL) constructions in 600 V version suitable for use at a maximum continuous operating temperature of 75°C in wet and dry locations.
Our Halar®/HMWPE wire is built to withstand brackish water conditions and to withstand corrosive gases. It is used in direct burial as a DC feeder cable with cathodic protection systems, tanks, pipelines, wells ocean vessels, and metal structures buried, or water submerged.
